Mehdi Noori

Mehdi Noori

Mehdi Noori (21), a student at Azad University of Naghadeh, is imprisoned in Tabriz Prison. He was convicted of “endangering national security” and sentenced to two years imprisonment.

Security forces detained Noori in June 2006 following public protests in the city of Naghadeh. He was held for 80 days and was reportedly tortured. The authorities released him on bail on September 10, 2006.
