While you make time to make the rounds of the news stations to complain about George Bush, I haven't seen any of you complaining at all on any of the stations about the situation in Iran. shame on you.

i can't understand this, the way i understood the situation before the elections was that regardless, the people of Iran put trust and believed in their supreme leader but they wanted some change in their country.

Now after the election results, which it has been said, could have been rigged, there's a nightmare going on and it many people are scarred.

Why can't the supreme leader take peaceful control of the situation, regain the trust of his people and sort things out for the best of his country and his people inclusive of all religious views and considerations with regards to livehoods and human rights etc and taking into account changes that his people were hoping to see?

There has to be a way - and a peaceful & harmonious way - to do this. Right now, im hoping that their supreme leader will find it.

Fearful rulers attempt to control with Fear...
Faith is the antithesis to Fear
Faith is only as strong as the object of the faith

Truth is powerful, lies are as quicksand...

The degree of deciet illustrates depth of depravity...
Is Iran being Crucified?

I'm not quite sure what the purpose is of all the demonstrations in Iran. It doesn't really matter who is president of that country, it will never be genuinely free as long as it is an "Islamic republic". The real power in Tehran are the Ayatollahs, who dictate how every citizen can think and express their faith. Bearded old clerics, angered by the erosion of their out-dated traditions, teach xenophobic hatred and try to preserve anger toward Israel and the United States in order to take the population's mind off their own problems. There is no place in the modern world of the 21st century for a theocratic dictatorship. Such countries are doomed to suffer from paranoia and extremism because they feel increasingly threatened by other nations which allow free thinking and pluralism. If the Iranian people are going to protest, they should be doing it in front of the mosques that have held a strangehold on that country for the last 30 years.

That was a fantastic who's who list of Iranian reformists. I cannot believe they have detained so many people. Hard to believe a regime can stand this much opposition. Thanks a lot for the info.
